This policy explains what information RV Calcs ("we", "us", "the site") collects when you visit rvcalcs.com, and what we and our advertising partners do with it.
Information we collect ourselves
Almost nothing. The calculators on this site run entirely in your browser using JavaScript. We do not have user accounts, we don't ask for an email address, and the values you type into a calculator are never sent to our servers.
Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) keeps standard web server logs containing your IP address, the page you requested, your browser's user agent, and the date/time of the request. These logs are used for security and abuse prevention and are retained for a limited period per Cloudflare's data policies.
Cookies and Google AdSense
We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on this site. Google and its third-party vendors use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to:
- Serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and to other websites on the internet.
- Measure ad performance and prevent ad fraud.
- Personalize ads based on inferred interests.
You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of third-party vendor cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info or networkadvertising.org.
For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, Google's consent management tools will request your consent for personalized advertising in line with the GDPR and the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework.
Analytics
We may use Google Analytics or a privacy-respecting alternative (such as Cloudflare Web Analytics or Plausible) to understand which pages are popular. These tools collect aggregate, anonymized usage data such as page views, country, and referring site. They do not identify you personally.
Children's privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
California, Virginia and other state privacy rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and CPRA give you the right to know what personal information is collected about you, to request deletion, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell personal information in the traditional sense, but the use of cookies for cross-site advertising may qualify as "sharing" under California law. To opt out, visit Google Ads Settings or use the do-not-sell signals supported by your browser. Similar rights apply under Virginia (VCDPA), Colorado (CPA), and other state laws.
Your choices
- You can disable cookies in your browser. The calculators will still work; the ads may show as non-personalized.
- You can use an ad blocker. We won't be happy about it, but we won't try to detect or block you.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising via the links above.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page shows when. Material changes will be highlighted on the site for at least 30 days.
